Compensation: $101,920 - $137,384 annually

Location: Hospital / Inpatient Setting

Position Overview
Legacy Staffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our client’s healthcare team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy evaluations, treatments, and care planning in accordance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and professional standards. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, collaborative, and committed to delivering safe, effective, and individualized care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients referred for occupational therapy using standardized assessments and clinical judgment
- Develop individualized plans of care, including short- and long-term goals, in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Provide direct occupational therapy treatment and monitor patient progress and response to care
- Modify treatment plans based on patient performance, needs, and physician direction
- Plan for patient discharge, including home assessments, family education, equipment recommendations, and community resource coordination
- Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements
- Delegate and supervise occupational therapy assistants and support staff as appropriate
- Maintain ongoing communication with physicians, nursing staff, caregivers, and other departments to ensure coordinated care
- Promote a culture of patient safety and patient-centered treatment
Patient Population
May include:
- Infants (birth–12 months)
- Pediatrics (13 months–12 years)
- Adolescents (13–18 years)
- Adults (19–64 years)
- Geriatric patients (65+)
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the applicable state
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy evaluation and treatment techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety standards
Preferred Experience
- Prior hospital or inpatient rehabilitation experience
- Experience working with diverse age groups and diagnoses
